Admission Arrangements 2025 Consultation

To comply with the School Admission Code 2021 the school’s Governing Body was required to undertake a full consultation of its admission arrangements for school entry from September 2025.  The consultation period ran for a period of 6 weeks from the 13th November until the 22nd December 2024.

In-Year Admissions

If you wish to apply for a place during the school year, this is known as an In-Year Admission.

How to Apply

Applications can be submitted either via the school’s online admissions portal or by requesting an application form.

Online Portal

You can apply using the school’s admission portal.  Your progress can be saved at any time, allowing you to return and complete the application before submitting it.

Application Form

If you prefer to apply using a form, an In-Year Admission application form can be sent to you by email or post.  Please request a copy by contacting Mrs N Morrissey at [email protected].

Completed forms should also be returned to Mrs Morrissey.

We aim to respond to all In-Year applications within 10 school days.

If you are offered a place

If your application is successful, you will receive a written offer from the school. This letter will include:

  • confirmation of the place offered,
  • the date by which you must accept or decline the offer,
  • any next steps required, such as completing admission forms.

Please ensure you respond within the stated timeframe so that the place can be secured. If we do not receive a reply, the offer may be withdrawn in line with the School Admissions Code.

If Your Application is Unsuccessful

As an Own Admission Authority, the Governing Body is responsible for making decisions on all applications. If we are unable to offer your child a place, you will receive a written refusal explaining the reason(s) for the decision.

Your Right to Appeal

If your child is refused a place, you have the legal right to appeal to an Independent Appeals Panel.

The school is responsible for:

  • informing you of your right to appeal,
  • providing details on how to submit an appeal,
  • ensuring the appeal is arranged in accordance with the School Admissions Appeals Code.

Appeals are completely independent of both the school and the Governing Body. The panel will consider your case alongside the school’s case before making a final decision.

Parents who wish to appeal for a place for their child at Rednock School can lodge their appeal by contacting the Clerk to the Governing Body at [email protected].
